There is a .xml file in the server\RMManage\Type Policies or sumthing like that.

anyone know what this is for or what it could be used for????

In the 'Type Manager' folder there is a subfolder for each of the usertypes. Inside are a couple of XLM file, including one that seems to contain all the group policy settings for that usertype. Maybe editing it will effect your account, maybe it'll only effect new accounts made, but I doubt it'll do much, because all the current settings will be stored in AD, not in an XML file.
