Security on RMs systems has always been a hot topic, flaws are often found, and stem mostly from RMs software, however network setup is also partially to blame. This makes School networks extremely vulnerable even to this day, RM networks are extremely easy to penetrate. Since the release of RMs community connect 3.1 network there have been large security holes. In 3.1 you were able to gain access to the network from the login screen without logging on, through a help file. 95&98 holes included easy registry editing from a standard user, local administrator rights via registry settings and default accounts and passwords. In XP there is also a security vulnerability in the programming of the most recent program RM tutor 3, which could enable students to access this program by simply clicking with the right mouse on a video file from a memory stick or another external source. Students will then have full administrative privileges - giving access to view and delete others users work. It would then also allow remote login, shutdown or log off of any users on the computers on the network.
