Change Username

Postby DanTheManiac345 » Wed Nov 21, 2007 5:22 pm

Hey,

That icon changing programme seems good but if you are on a teachers/advanced account it it all good being able to change the icon but what about the username on the start menu? So can someone build a programme which will do this? It would just change the username for that session and when you log off and the next time you log back in the name would be normal again.

On my computer you can have a "real name" and a "user name". You can log in with either but the real name always appears on the start menu. Is it possible to change that for the session?

The 'real name' is stored in the active directory, so that would be quite difficult. I'm trying to think up a program that hooks into explorer and changes it that way
