I tried to this earlier but I failed on the first hurdle, how do I virtually join the two parts (server and client) together. In the real world, you use an Ethernet cable but using VMWare, how do I join the client to the server before I begin using the commissioning utilities etc.

EDIT: To rephrase, how would you simulate wiring the client up to a server etc in a virtual pc and what network adapters would you use to enable the two machines to communicative with each other?

That's all I have to do - set up as a bridged adapter and they'll find each other, right?

Thank you for that! :)

Do I tick "Replicate physical network connection state" for Bridged on both Server and client?

Right now, both are bridged but the replication is unticked on server and client and I still can't connect!

were your putting the information in
*Location: CC3/Main Site/Room1

just put
CC3\Main Site

if you havent created the Room1 Location in the RMMC it wont know were to put the computer and wont install the packages.

install it into Main Site then create a location and move the PC in the RMMC when everything is installed..
