I find that the active directory users and computers mmc is easier to use than the rmmc!

And it doesn't leave nice RM logs behind, and your tech probably don't know it exists =)

Well, you just answered your own question there ;)

To get on Microsoft Management Console, go to start -> run... and type "mmc" (without the quotes); click ok.

That method won't actually give you any immediate functionality though- it just opens a blank document in mmc. After opening the app, you'll need to hit file->open, and navigate to c:\windows\system32 , as that's where all the mmc documents are stored.

The active directory management tools aren't installed on a standard windows install by default, so you may find that the ones you're after aren't there, in which case you'll have to install them yourself.

If you do definitely have admin access on the network, then yes- you need to use the Active Directory Users and Groups snapin for MMC (dsa.msc)

If go to start -> run..., type 'dsa.msc' (without the quotes) and click ok, that should get you the console up straight away ;)
