Personally, I use Cain to crack them, but SAMInside isn't bad...

Not sure if you'll have the rights to copy them.

You'd have to boot into ERD Commander or Hiren's Boot Disk to copy them, i don't think normal users have the rights to do so in a windows install.

muto and Wack0 are both right, users don't have rights to copy those files.

They shouldn't be able to!! :P

Sorry! :)

Hmm, that's odd because I have copied loads of stuff from C:\Windows before and also I've used the method when you go to Internet Options >> Settings >> View Files >> Folders and I've been able to copy stuff fine!

Could I do it that way?

I'm pretty sure those files are protected (for the obvious reason), so not with a normal user account.

Hmmmm.... I can copy programs from C:\Program Files...

But also, in my school, there are 2 computers that are glitched up, they have been for about a year now, but on them you can run exes and everything! So I'll do it on there!

I think you need an Admin Account to touch SAM files, even on Standard Windows installations.

For the real SAM, I think you might even need SYSTEM access, but the repair copies are often not as well protected.

I agree with muto here.

Xcellerator, I think the Local Drive Files haven't been setup properly in your School!
