That sounds like a great idea, I wonder if someone could create a .jar file to let you copy files from drive to drive with a nice GUI interface, not a command line...

My school uses fronter too, after my admin started scanning our accounts for SWF files, I uploaded them to fronter so they can;t be blocked, I don't even need to download them, I just have to click on them and they load in IE...

Providing someone here knew how to programe in java, someone could create a little java applett embeddeed on a webpage which is a windows explorer clone not adhering to group policy etc so you could then browse through.

It is quite interesting to see what processes are running on a machine cause my friend and I just used Process Explorer from SysInternals using the fronter method. Sadly as a limited user we can't kill services.

I think one of my friends can code in java, he did a lot of crap with *shudder* runescape private servers...
Maybe he can help... I think *shudder* runescape... is a lot more complicated than a windows explorer rip-off... lol

We could also go with something like an FTP applet except one end connects to the C drive and the other connects to the N drive (base it on this for example)

If had it al in one, then you could just type \\***-sr-001 into the explorer jar...

Lobo, the jar internet browser can display the contents of a drive (and network address) so you can browse the servers unrestrictedly! It can also display .txt files on the browser (handy if your lucky enough to have a school that leave passwords lying around in txt files (I wish that described me!))...

But as I said, I'm no good with coding in Java, but my friend may be able to help a little bit (I'm trying to get him to join the forums!). I'll let you know on any updates...
