Rebuild on CC3

Postby beartom » Sun Feb 22, 2009 9:32 pm

Does anyone happen to know how you rebuild a client workstation on a CC3 network. I don't mean by using SmartClient etc. I mean more of when the entire workstation rebuilds itself installing Windows XP and then all of the RM Apps. etc.

Appologies if this sounds confusing, but I could really do with some help...

Many thanks in advance...

It's a program called RMRestore, you normally have to boot it of a floppy disk, but I'm not sure if it uses a recovery partition or installs over the network.

If you see the text `RMR` in the top left screen just after posting, it's installed into the MBR, and if you press Left Shift + Right Shift as the text appears, you should get into the menu to controll it. Default pass is `rmrboot`

it depends if you are talkin about rebuilding from installing XP or have you got XP installed?

if you have XP on and you just want the RM software installing (RM Logon Provider, RM Logoff RM Web Launch etc) then you run RM Commissioning utilities and enter the network credentials and then the workstation builds.
