If solved, will create a guide for setting up a cc3 server

Postby thornhillr » Mon Oct 18, 2010 9:30 pm

Hello,

I've been 97% successful in setting up an rm cc3 server. I've installed all components and all registry keys are in the registry.there is just two problems - I install rm user manager - the user.ini files are created but are not updated - why is this and can you help please? N the next scenario is i replace user.ini files with current user.ini files from a current cc3 server and obviously i make sure the domain im using is the same as the one specified in the user.ini file - i click create new user in rmmc it creates it in AD but isn't displayed in rmmc and isn't created in RmUsers folders as a share/romaing profiel either in the RM(USERTYPE)WORK folder or the RM(USERTYPE)Profiles folder.

Please can you help as when I have successfully setup an rm cc3 server after I've sorted a few problems I will consider creating a guide, after I've resolved all the problems this being one of them. I also have a few other smaller problems which I will post about when this problem has been resolved.

Many thanks

Thank you for the reply

I will try and get a user.ink file uploaded for you.
I've found in event viewer that it says

Failed to write RmTEACHRRWORK to foldername and access denied

Even though I'm an administrator and I will try and fully copy and paste the event viewer message ,

Many thanks

Can you also post all of the system environment variables that you have running?

You can view all the environment variables by typing "set" in the command prompt..
