Hi again. So i got the rm tutor 2 folder from my school's server, i took it home and tried to install it, it said that it needed either an rm something system or cc3 system to install, how do i make it work on my normal windows xp professional system?? ;) Thanks. (btw in the folder i took it has 2 versions: v 1.18 and v 1.24. any difference between the 2?)

It was the only rm tutor folder in the directory, although there are four other servers but i think all the rm tutor folders were the same because there were all the same apps in all the package folders... :(

just how you would install a program normally.... you run the .exe (in this case its a .msi file)
There was a reg entry when i did it

Most RM Tutor 2 MSI's are programmed to install only on CC3 Networks, I don't know why yours worked at home :?
I'm quite confused!

Eh....the thing to control people is not in the teacher folder. Its in a folder called "Controller" beside student and teacher. However unless you are logged on with permissions for it it will disconnect you as soon as you make a connection.

If you have local admin access i can explain how to bypass this little disconnecting security thing. Well...at least i think its security. It was disconnecting me when i used it on my student account so i had to go execute it under the SYSTEM. I will explain how to do it but you need local admin access...
