Is it at all possible to fix a Li-ion laptop battery? I got a brand new battery for my laptop last week off ebay its loosing it already
however the production date was 2000.... its older than the laptop which was made in 2001

Anyway, is it possible to recondition the battery in anyway? I don't want to get another battery beause they are all about the same age...
I was thinking of "cell treatment" or possibly even replacing the cells..
have any ideas?

To cut a long story short- no.

Batteries aren't too expensive nowadays; you shouldn't have to pay too much to get one

Recondition no. But what you could do is to have an electrician (electronics) guy to open it up and check which exact Li-Ion battery cells are stored inside (should be 8 of them). You can then purschase higher capacity (and new) ones on the Internet. I got approx 40% more capacity (battery life) with the replacement ones for about $130 USD a year ago.
