I have fasthosts business, but you are in the US of A with Obama 'doin his stuff (well done obama :D)
000webhost are good, i use them on my forum. I made a web with a freind and fasthosts is VERY good.
Unlimited everything i guess.

There is no such thing as unlimited. If they can really provide unlimited, I'll take an account and throw approx let's say 2000 TERAbytes of download traffic from the server.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that company is not good, I'm just saying there is no such thing as "unlimited" in the web hosting world.

No need, it's not spammy in that form and you're a longtime member of the forum.

1. Unlimited. I know theres no true definition, but it does mean you get a decent amount of bandwidth and space.

In the end, I ended up not doing the job because they refused to give me a copy of dreamweaver to do it. Sure I could torrent it, but thats not the point.

I do appreciate the input though, as Im sure other people have/will.

Why do you say it's crap? :P

You won't get the ultimate control and flexibility you get with notepad++, and it's more expensive, but it's a hell of a lot quicker when you need to churn sites out reasonably quickly...

The code Dreamweaver creates is often really ugly to work with, the cost that you mentioned (yes, we can pirate it, but that's a pain). It's also very heavy, when I open up one of my scripts, I was it to load instantly, rather than waiting for Dreamweaver to load. Even once it does, the interface seems sluggish. Oh, and the fact it decides to run a silent update, without notifiying you, and then sits there in your system tray for the next 20 minutes downloading crap.

Perhaps the Mac version is better, but Dreamweaver has way to much unneeded crap in it. With a decent set of templates, you can throw toghether a good site fast without it...

It depends what the website is you're wishing to host. If it's anything that earns you money, I would advise against it, because if you're not paying, you have no protection against downtime, or sudden termination of your hosting. Most free hosts are fairly slow, don't offer services like automated backups, don't give you shell access, and have very poor uptimes.

If you're just hosting a little forum for you gaming clan/group of friends/etc, then free hosting is fine, but considering there are paid hosts starting at £1.50 a month (£16.50/year), if it's anything where you need uptime, I would go for that.

When reading this post I got serious de ja vu, I could have sworn a person registered here before and made 1 post, this was to advertise a web hosting company, then he never came back.

This is starting to happen again.
Although I can't be bothered looking for the other post!!!
