And about the virus thing. I like that mac has a smaller market share. At least macs dont need anti-viruses. And its more because mac have better security. It might be because its based on UNIX.
Also if Windows is so great why did Microsoft copy the whole UAC thing of mac/Unix then? :P

It's true: Windows does 90% of what mac can do for a fraction of the price...

Mac Starting Price: £800
PC Starting Price: £120

See the comparison?

Just fixed that ;)

Oh if you want pricing....
Windows 7 Ultimate (retail): ~£300
Snow Leopard: £25
Prev. OS 10 versions: ~£130

Even the older OS was cheaper...

Ok, find me a site where I can buy a working (new) Mac for £29. He was clearly talking about buying an entire system, rather than just a disk with the OS on it, and since Apple doesn't allow you to install on non-Apple hardware, you get to pay the Mac tax on whatever you buy. Also, a quick google search finds copies of Windows Vista Ultimate for £112+VAT

If you really want to throw costs in there:
Linux : £0
FreeBSD : £0
Solaris : £0

So, in one sentence you both comment that no one wants to buy the expensive OS (implying it's crap), and say that the free ones aren't good because they're free? You can't have it both ways..

The cost of software means nothing about its quality. Look at Apache - free, open source, and controlling over half of the web server market (70% of the top one million sites). Look at Firefox/Opera/Chrome - see any price tags? Nmap - by far the best portscanner (beating many commercial ones) - again, free.
