You'll need to get the XP drivers for your SATA controller, and patch the XP disc with them. I can't remember how to do it off the top of my head, but you'll almost certainly need the software nLite.

It'll let you create a new patched XP disc with the drivers on it. It'll also allow you to do a whole host of other patches and tweaks, and the disc can be set-up to do an unattended install aswell. Nice.

i went into the device manager, double clicked all of the items, went to , driver, driver details, and got a list of files - they are all .sys files - when i use nlite it doesn't let me add system files - can you tell me what to do - i've never had to do this before.

thanks in advance

Yeah what I meant was, go into device manager and look up the specific manufacturer/device name or driver name of the SATA controller which is in your computer, so that you can download the drivers, and then use nlite to add the drivers. If you catch my drift... :D

na didn't work - it still did ask for the floppy, even though the drivers where merged to the disk with nlite.

i haven't got a floppy drive - that's why i wanted to download them to the disk otherwise i propably would've bought them - YEAH RIGHT ! ! !
But i think i'll just buy an external floppy drive and put the drivers on a floppy disk.

Thanks anyway, Cheers
