Ok I know the question im about to ask is about the same as asking someone for their personal contacts. But uh yeah.....how do you find a private network? Im very new to the whole security thing. So if anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated thanks.

I suppose the first question I have to ask is why you want to be in one? What do you hope to achieve? And what kind of private network are you talking about? There are nets for computer security chatter, torrent sharing, files circulation, hacking etc.

wow someone actually responded. See usually i get the whole. Wow your stupid go away chatter and that tends to halt conversation. I want to learn more about file sharing, and hacking for my own benefit not black hat stuff. With a private network are you able to chat or is it still forum based?

It depends on the medium with which they choose. From my experience most choose to use IRC. This forum is basically dedicated to computer security, so if you want to learn some shit, take a look around. We are very much open to new people, and are more than happy to give specific help to those who ask.

We are also about to launch a new aspect of the forum called "Power Users Exclusive". It is a place for people with 500 posts or more to talk in security. None of the topics in there are accessible by search engines. If you get this far, you will be welcome to access it. Also, power users are allowed to take part in site changes in the form of voting.

One of the things you need to keep in mind is that in order for you to be able to join a private network, you need to get credibility. People need to talk to you and trust you before you will be invited to any private network that is serious about comp security. My advice is to become a good member here on xatrix and post and help others and get your reputation that way.

And you never know, you could very well get an invite one day from a member here because of your contributions.

Best of luck,

Quaon
