Mac runs a linux backend, so anything you can run on linux can run on mac (when properly installed). So anything you can find for linux, which will be the best of the best, will run on mac.

Try running the ftp server on a different port as your ISP may do packet shaping on FTP traffic to minimize BW usage.

It depends on if you need PASV mode on your FTP or not.

I bought Vista to avoid the whole cracking problem. It's not worth my time to wait for a crack before I do an update.

Have you guys installed SP1 yet?

I haven't had any issues with compatibility, I know they are a problem, but SP1 is supposed to fix a lot of that.

Open my computer > Tools > Folder Options goto the View Tab, scroll all the way down and uncheck "Use Simple File Sharing"
