Re: teachers account

They actually advise people to disable DCC? Heh

Given how often my school's network is down, that wouldn't be such a great plan. Storing the last 50 logins, on the other hand, is an equally bad one.

Re: Queries about RMMC

SInce that's allowing you to set that path, I'd imagine you do need an actual connection to the server to use it.

Re: Queries about RMMC

What exactly do you mean by 'other files'? RMMC is essentially a (dumbed down) web frontend to AD's management tools, so as long as the port for it is open, you can view it. This wouldn't give you access to SMB shares though, it's on a completely different port. Can be be a bit more specific?

Re: 10,000 Post

Indeed they do, the post ID is an autoincrement value that never goes down, while the number of posts listed on the homepage is the current number, not the number ever made. However, this means that we've already had the 10,000th, post, and it also makes it much harder to see exactly who gets it..

Re: Breaking the RM Filter....

10 seconds of looking at the files gives me this. # PROJECT FILE generated by "Pelles C for Windows, version 4.50". Find a copy of that (a newer version might be fine), and import the project file into it, then hit compile. The simplicity of the source, as well as the fact there there's no interacti...

I believe that the folder is 'Research Machines', not just 'RM'.

Re: Back to school

Most teachers don't know how to see the services list :>

The mailing feature might be tricky, because, at least in my school, there are almost no outbound ports open, I'm pretty sure you can't just use SMTP. It might be best to do it through HTTP Post data, but then you'd have to write proxy support.
