You could. You see, by changing the local admin password to something you know, you have the opportunity to download the cached logon details of the last 10 people to use that workstation (i.e. their username and password). All it takes is some simple software, and you can crack their passwords! Providing those users haven't changed their passwords since you downloaded them, you can use your cracked passwords to get onto management console.

Okay, this is for anyone who has PM'd me or is going to PM me asking for a copy of ERD Commander 2005.

You see my laptop is currently "Under going maintenance" (oh I liked that) so I am forced to use the dell computer which of course the CD Drive doesn't read CDs, but do not worry, I have a solution.

this is probably a noob question lol but do you have to change the boot order becuase the bios has a password on the machines in my school

yes i think you do.. there is no temp boot menu on the systems that i tried
......you could however try updating the BIOS... this clears the password without having to open it up

I dont even know the bios to these computers all i know is they are Dell and black :S

It says when it starts up..... just press the tab button once (that ushally does it) and you will get rid of the dell picture at startup... then you can get the bios

its passworded but it has no cd drive or floppy drive so how can i remove the password XD
