I got it now fellas i created a new xp sata disk drive thing arent i just great!

So i might register on that forum and PM him and ask him if he can make me one, cause he didn't post ANY details as to how he done it

Right, i've done it myself, I done a little research and found out that there is a known issue with SP2 and pci.sys
So I sliplined my s-ata drivers AND SP2 into the Windows XP Pro install disk.
Brilliant.
BUT, it now won't accept the product key, anyone got any ideas?
Any ideas at all would be greatly appreciated.

Where are you getting the product key from? I think I know exactly the problem.

I am using the product key from the original xp pro disk for the installation disk with the sp2 and s-ata drivers on it.

Hmm, well firstly, check you've entered it correctly. If you have, then I think the problem is that you're entering a retail product key into an OEM version of XP- or vice versa. Doing this won't work, as each type of disk has its own respective type of product key. The solution, therefore, is to either get hold of a retail or OEM disk (Based on your product key respectively), and redo the slipstreaming process, or to go pirate

thats not really a smilie though, but i'm going to change it anyway.
I copied the files from an xp pro disk, sliplined SP2 + S-ATA Drivers into it, burnt it, ran it, used the same serial key.
How would it not be that same?

There could be a mix up in there somewhere, it's quite possible. The other solution of course, is to manufacture a product key, but I know no-one on this forum would ever do that.
