Re: CC3 Server

Hi everyone,

OK, I've created a virtual machine and selected Windows Server 03 as the image file. When I log in, however, Management Console is just a dead file, which when I try to click just say that it can't find the file.

What do I need to do? Is there something I need to install?

Thanks a lot,

Tom :)

Can you post a screenshot of exactly what is happening on the server?

I'll try, any ideas into what is happening? When I try to run the installation assistant, an error appears that there is not enough space on Drive D:\

Thanks,

Tom :)

What Installation Assistant?, also make sure you have networking bridged, and then follow Irksome's guide to reset the DNS.

Didn't work for me :(
The tutorial steps weren't in the correct order.
And at the end of the wizard it says couldn't find root hints :?:
And the client says couldn't find domain cc3.local in the workstation build.

cgimusic, what tweaks did you perform ?
irksome, any chance of some screenshots for the tutorial
Thanks

I changed some of the IP settings. I set my router to assign the server an IP automatically and I left the clients IP as it was. I think it worked but it hasn't finished yet. Its still installing all the software like RM Tutor 3.

That guide is only brief, so I apologise for any mistakes in it. If you post a few screens of where it's going wrong I'll be able to lend a hand. ;)
