Fix for disk quota problems!

Post by jd2kuk » Fri Apr 04, 2008 3:16 pm

Ok, I've worked out the fix for those of you with disk quota problems. Follow the steps below:
  • 1. On the server, open my computer (Start, my computer)
    2. Right click on the D drive, and click properties.
    3. Move to the quota tab
    4. Tick the 'enable quota management' box, and the 'deny disk space to users exceeding their quota' box. If a message pops up asking if you're sure you want to enable quotas, just click ok.
And it all should work ;)

TJ, are you running the server on the actual machine or are you running it on a virtual machine?
Just out of curiosity.
P.S. Those of you who are still stuck, I am going to have the guide posted on Monday (LATEST) :P

To change the background just replace the BlueVortex image with your own image, and name it BlueVortex.bmp ;)

Ict Tech- The sever is running under vmware. Binky has only supplied us with a vmware virtual disc.

irksome - the wallpaper is from batkhela HERE

Check out here, the wallpapers are great

I was talking about the login screen background, where is this "bluevortex" found. You are talking about the login scrren background right ?

Thanks for that link TJ, some nice backgrounds there. :)

Also, there's an option in the RMMC, under Global Workstation Settings, select the Logon category, and click on specify logon bitmap. Then just type the location of your desired wallpaper. Also, it must be a server share, and it must be a bitmap. ;)
