1 - Error code or PrtScn?
2 - What files did you use to install SIMS Server? Tried adding the "Management Information System" security group to the user?

1 - Image
and use either gParted or Parted Magic in Hiren's BootCD (there aren't any free partitioning tools for a server OS)
2 - HSP22 needs: HFXCC3138 and these files to be present

D:\RMNetwork\RMManage\RMRebuild\XPBuild\WIN51IP.SP2
D:\RMNetwork\RMManage\RMRebuild\XPBuild\cmpnents\netfx\i386\netfx.cab
D:\RMNetwork\RMManage\RMRebuild\XPBuild\cmpnents\tabletpc\i386\tabletpc.cab

and the "Succeeded" reg key to equal "4294967295" or "&HFFFFFFFF"
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Research Machines\Installation\Products\CC3 XPSP2\Succeeded

3 - 197+ need a support contract
4 - add the appropriate domain details to the COMMISS.INI file (or change the Setup user's password to "Setup")

default sysman password is "password" or reset it here

the client commissioning is a active directory issue which i got stuck on way back in february, re-running ad population on the server generally solves it
also installing the autoexnt and manually running it a few times gets the packages to install sometimes too

btw i'm on study leave too :)

1. any logs?
2. I don't have the auditor database, PM thornhillr for the auditor database ("RM CC3 Auditor MSDE Instance"), or download a MSDE 2000 from microsoft and install it with the following details (obviously without quotes) dbname: "Auditor", provider: "SQLOLEDB.1", user: "sa", password: "aq9jr4o23e".
3. no but RM Virus Protect is rebranded Symantec Endpoint Security, there should be a patch or serial on the net for it.
4. no but RM Tutor is basically rebranded NetSupport School. http://www.netsupportschool.com/ , NetSupport School is much cheaper too.
5. I uploaded that to 4shared - http://cc3appz.4shared.com.
6. There should be a pdf on 4shared I uploaded on how to do that too.
7. There was a post on EduGeek on that.
8. I have the client package, PM thornhillr for the server stuff.
9. I have just an upgrade package, thornhillr should have a full server version, but EasyMail is RM hosted and was for couple of years now.
10. 197+ require a support contract, I had a look through the hotfixes my school has but the ones in RMManage\RM Hotfixes had only windows updates, if my school still has CC3 in september I will get them for you.
11. no, RM Blueprint stuff requires support contract.
12. no CC4 stuff, anything to do with CC4 requires support contract.

Also my CC3 guide should be done soon, if you want the current version my guide PM me.

ive tried myself at having a go at installing SIMS.net onto a copy of Binkys CC3 Server. i have sat for about 3 hours trying different ways of installing the software and get the same error at attachment of the database. i then proceed to login using "sysman" and "password" and get the error of invalid username/password

i have followed the instructions on edugeek to reset the password
it says open Command Prompt and type the following.
osl - cc3-dc01\SIMS2011 -E -n -"Exec sims.sims.db_p_reset_sysman_password
this is obvously configured to my server.

hope this can help anyone trying to figure out this stressful software haha :)
