This trick will give you a lot more local access power and you be able to bypass web filters and maybe even access to RM Tutor. This may be patched in your school.
Firstly, get to the login screen (2000 or XP). Then, this is not necessary but helps a lot. Press windows key and U together. Utilities manager will come up, so turn magnifier on. In magnifier, options will come up when you press start. You then want Invert colours and high contrast selected. Close magnifier, then login normally. The moment the screen turns the normal blue PULL THE CABLE OUT of the PC or the wall. Doesn't matter which.
If its worked properly (ie, you've followed the instructions properly), it should of worked and you have much more power over your local PC.
Please comment on this tut, say what you think needs changing/adding. BTW tut coming later on what you can do once this has worked.
Thanks

Short but very sweet.
Re: Network Cable "Trick"
Thanks. I had never thought about the high contrast tip before.

Re: Network Cable "Trick"
Cant access the utility manager, any other way to do this? Or do you have any tips on when to unplug without using high contrast etc.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Network Cable "Trick"
Yes, but its harder to notice. Log on as usual, after a few seconds the screen will flick from light blue to a slightly darker blue (or the other way round, can't remember). Then at that exact point, unplug the cable.

Re: Network Cable "Trick"
OK,
A) Is the cable the grey one?
B) Will an error come up?
C) How long does it need to be out for?
D) Will this let you control other peoples workstations since you have the tutor?
E) Do you have the teachers things like run and cmd prompt?
Sorry for so many questions lol
