I can't change the boot order on my school computers, unless I do bios update but I would need to be left alone for longer than 20 seconds :(
My school is full of nutters, half the cd drives don't work cos they took the rubber bands out

Need to get a working copy of ERD Commander to reset the admin pw on a recently bought laptop. Who can provide me with a functional copy?
Thanks

Just as an update, I've now got ERD commander to boot from USB! :D

There are just a few issues I need to iron out, and then a tutorial will be available.

jd2kuk wrote:Okay, jimbo jones is an admin on your network. If you reset jimbo jones' password locally, which is what ERD commander allows, you will be able to logon as said user on whichever box you are sat at. What ERD does not do however, is change a users network password, which is what is needed to access management console. Catch my drift now? ;)

So you can't get into the netwrk management console then? :?

You could. You see, by changing the local admin password to something you know, you have the opportunity to download the cached logon details of the last 10 people to use that workstation (i.e. their username and password). All it takes is some simple software, and you can crack their passwords! Providing those users haven't changed their passwords since you downloaded them, you can use your cracked passwords to get onto management console. ;)

There's a tutorial on this very forum I believe...
