Post by heebyjeebys » Mon Aug 25, 2008 12:24 pm

Does anyone know how to work exchange properly here? Its a massive topic and i'm just getting started with it.
But on sending email to certain domains, I get a SMTP protocol error.
Any ideas?

Lmao! How the hell did you end up getting your server blacklisted? :P

Quite a few mail servers will block SMTP traffic from low level ISP addresses in an attempt to reduce the amount of spam they have to filter.

quite right.... which is a pain in the arse if your running your own mail server
easy solution:

bounce it off your isp's smtp relay server - that way nothings filtered but you may get email size limmits imposed on you
