I FEEL LIKE A NOOB SAYING THIS

I was watching DIE HARD 4.0 and im so into computers LOL and i was wondering (IF ANYONE HAS SEEN THE FILM)
you know when they say tht hack name something like fire something .. is this true , hacking into the water system , traffic , gas ?

I've seen it, but no you cant hack into gas, water systems, and traffic :lol:
You can however control traffic lights, but not from a computer, you need to go upto the traffic lights and there usually a big electric box nearby, but it's not an electric box it's the control panel for the lights, but if the cops drive past you've had it :lol:

Real utility controls, such as those for power stations and gas terminals are almost always on seperate, internal networks, so the chances of you accessing them remotely are pretty slim

You never know though- I know for a fact, for example, that computers on smith and nephew's factory floor are all linked to the outside world, and they all have VNC links, so you can access those remotely :P
