Problems on Windows 7 (Boot Loading Paths)

Postby Xcellerator » Fri Nov 27, 2009 2:19 pm

Ok, I have successfully Installed Mac on my PC, but now I cannot get it to load correctly, I have placed the "chain0" file in the C:\ Drive, but Windows 7 have a readable boot.ini file (It has one, but not one that can be edited in Notepad...). On BCDEDIT I get this:
Code: Select all
Entry #2

Name:  Mac OS X
BCD ID:  {00b6a221-c667-11de-a6e6-a4d5b1363235}
Drive:  C:\
Bootloader Path:  \NST\nst_mac.mbr

(That is the output from EasyBCD) I need to change the "Bootloader Path" to "C:\chain0"

Any Help?

Ok.

You don't need Chain0 for windows Vista and upwards and boot.ini doesn't exist for windows 7/vista.
Vista and 7 have a completely different bootlader called BCD.

Visit the EasyBCD Forums and download the most recent 2.0 beta. Then add A Mac entry.
Also, what distro did you use to install OSX86 and what bootloader are you using?
