Using my own laptop in school

Postby cheesepuff » Sat Aug 30, 2008 11:18 am

Hello. :P
i dont make many a thread so... lol. anyway,
Since i have my new laptop, which has vista home premium, could i acsess the my documents folder (in CC3 on my settings) through my laptop.
heebyjeebys says that i go map network drive, USERNAME$ on \\SERVER2, add the drive, and acsess it.

Joining the domain is not possible, as i would need an admin password and to dual boot XP Pro.

so, is heeby right?
comments welcome

of course i'm right.
You have to supply your username and password and it will let you.
But theres no point or need therefor to join the domain, because if you do then GP is enforced etc.
However share permissions still apply
