can i just make this final?
PC's are and will always be the best sort of computer over mac because of their flexebility.
Macs arn't upgradable.
Macs are bad.
PC's are better for that reason. and the price tag as well

A mac can do EVERYTHING a PC could ever do and more. You really need to justify that point.

Almost every mac made within the last 5 years can be upgraded.

How very not objective.

I do have to agree that the killer factor with mac is the stupendous price tag. But for the money, you get revolutionary, good looking, easy to use and reliable products that don't constantly break, burn or BSoD. How could anyone argue with that? ;)

I've just finished moving my files over from old pc.
Vista isn't bad.
It setted up pretty quickly.
I'm going to try the MAC OS X thing tomorrow, too busy installing Flight Simulator and all my software.

The new imacs have three screws on the bottom, and then the back comes off. The mac pro is even easier: http://www.apple.com/uk/macpro/design.html For historical reference, the G4 cube had a pop-up handle, to allow users to easily access the computer's innards.

Macs are hard to upgrade? I don't think so.

macs have little flap to upgrade their memory. The chips areo soildered to the board so you can't change your 2ghz core 2 for a 2.4 ghz core 2 see what i mean.
And i have seen the mac pro or what ever you call it. I think the "memory block" is a silly idea, they are too closey packed and they only communicate to the rest of the thing through one slot, there might be bandwidth problems.
And expansion slots?
I don't see any of them.
PC have this field, so hahaha apple
edit// they do have expansion slots!! but not regular ones! Still their concept is stupid. Its rediclous to pay £2000 for something you can get for about £800

iMacs are marketed toward users who probably wouldn't care about (or wouldn't want to) upgrading their CPU packages. The idea is that they are nice and simple.

The mac pro has excellent cooling, so it doesn't matter they're packed together. And there aren't bandwidth problems ;)

They have PCI express slots- seems pretty regular to me...

Super intuitive design with excellent cooling and good IO? Nah...

£1.7k actually, and if you can find an 8-core computer with similar specs for 800 quid, I'll be impressed.
